Safety overview
This consolidated ATC spindle motor user manual is based on the supplied English manuals and reorganized for easier reading before installation. Use it as a commissioning guide, not as a substitute for the actual spindle nameplate, wiring diagram, VFD manual, or qualified electrical work.
The most important rules are simple: do not use vector control, do not connect the spindle directly to power, do not release the tool while the spindle is rotating, and do not clamp the body outside the marked clamping zone.
Pre-use inspection
Before installation, check the package, spindle body, laser label, accessories, fastening screws, taper area, and visible shipping damage. If anything is damaged or does not match the ordered specification, stop and confirm before installation.
Nameplate and VFD setup
Always follow the actual spindle label for voltage, power, rated frequency, maximum frequency, RPM, pole count, current, rotation direction, and control mode. The web page gives the workflow; the spindle label gives the final values.
Use V/F control. Set acceleration and deceleration conservatively, commonly around 10 to 15 seconds where the machine and VFD allow it. Select a high-speed motor or variable-frequency motor category where the VFD menu requires that choice.
Installation, air, cooling, and operation
Install the spindle inside the marked clamping range. For horizontal installation, protect the front cone area with the required air curtain interface. Compressed air must be dry and dust-free. Cooling and pneumatic tubing must be connected correctly before runtime.
Stop the spindle completely before tool change. For new or long-dormant spindles, use a staged run-in procedure and increase speed gradually while monitoring sound, temperature, coolant flow, and air pressure.
